Financial sector: positioning and reference customers

Just like in other countries, Mexico’s financial sector has faced major challenges and digital disruptions, which have been accelerated by the pandemic.

Ikusi has experienced it first-hand thanks to the privileged vision that comes from having some of the sector’s leading institutions among its customer portfolio.

Until now, Ikusi’s strategy has been strongly geared towards cybersecurity. Logically, financial institutions invest a lot of money in securing their transactions. Cybersecurity is bound to remain a top priority for the financial sector, driven by increasing digitisation.

The challenge of giving the network visibility

Another of Ikusi’s current lines of business is to give financial institutions high, real-time visibility of what is going on in their network. This is where the work done for a financial institution  ended in us rolling out a visibility-oriented project with the Thousand Eyes solution. This project is still underway, and now features other visibility and control elements that will help to replicate this service in other clients in the sector and other verticals.

Ikusi Intelligence’s differential value

This project features a unique value proposition: Ikusi Intelligence, a key competitive advantage for Ikusi in the Mexican financial sector.

Ikusi Intelligence provides an analytics and business intelligence layer that gives organisations executive control of their network resources and services. This lets organizations make cost-benefit decisions immediately, thanks to real-time visibility of the impact on the business.

The only offering of its kind on the market that gives management, IT and network staff centralised access to first-hand business information, to speed up decision making.

Ikusi always keeps track of developments in the sectors in which it operates, and keeps a close eye on any new players who appear on the scene. We’re referring to financial institutions that are looking for new clients in digital fishing grounds. Consumers who prefer electronic banking services. Fintechs are making strong inroads, and Ikusi wants to position itself in the sector.

Know-how and expertise to serve the financial sector

Even though large entities and newcomers require different strategies, Ikusi has a strong toehold in the market,  which it has earned itself by building stable, long-term relationships based on trust.

The financial sector acknowledges Ikusi’s capacity to undertake large-scale projects. It values its financial capacity, its experience in mission-critical clients, in sensitive projects that call for strict confidentiality, projects entailing mass rollouts… Know-how, expertise, capacity, all of which the market values, and which makes us a benchmark player in the evolution of Mexico’s financial institutions.
